Aljiana

Made from 326 sheets of paper and measuring 23 cm in diameter, this work represents a starting point in the artist's research into Islamic architecture and its design principles.

Conceived as a prototype, Aljiana allowed him to delve into the logic of interlocking pieces, understand their construction, and lay the groundwork for larger and more complex projects. More than a finished work, it is an exercise in exploration in which the artist combines study, experimentation, and technique, with the aim of taking this visual language to new dimensions.

In its apparent simplicity, the piece condenses the geometric rigor and delicacy of paper, inviting the viewer to discover the beauty that emerges in the first attempts, where the seed of future creations germinates.
