Half Empty

Composed of 129 pieces of paper, this work emerges as an expansion of the Lotus Bowl project. Drawing on that previous experience, the artist sought to understand how a piece can grow from nothing, evolving layer upon layer until it reaches a complete form.

In Half Empty, the exploration lies not only in the final result, but in the process itself: learning how the initial emptiness transforms into structure and how the paper, with patience and precision, becomes a living organism that seems to flourish.

The work engages with the ideas of growth, potential, and transformation, inviting us to reflect on what it means to start from scratch and build something new with each fold.
